Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:
Carlyn Nash, 35, of 198 Frost Road, Waterbury, was charged Jan. 23 with sixth-degree larceny.
Police reported Nash was observed concealing items by loss prevention, who notified Naugatuck police. Nash was released on a $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 6.
Josiah Rivers, 40, of 1270 Baldwin St., Waterbury, was charged Jan. 23 with conspiracy to commit driving under the influence.
During the course of investigating a suspicious motor vehicle on New Haven Road, police reported, the investigating officer suspected Rivers to be operating under the influence. After administering and failing field sobriety tests, police reported, Rivers was taken into custody. Rivers was released on a $1,500 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 31.
Victoria L. Meehan, 28, of 23 Golden Hill St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 25 with driving under the influence.
Police reported an officer located a suspicious vehicle idling on Golden Hill Court. During the course of the investigation, police reported, the officer discovered the operator slumped over the wheel of the vehicle. The operator was administered sobriety tests at the scene and failed to perform to standard and was subsequently taken into custody and charged DUI. Meehan was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 7.
Felicia N. Grant, 33, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 25 with second-degree failure to appear.
Police reported officers were dispatched to the Mobil Gas Station on South Main Street to investigate children left unattended in a vehicle. During the course of the investigation, police reported, it was learned Grant had an outstanding arrest warrant for the charge of failure to appear and was taken into custody. Grant was released on a $500 non-surety and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 6.
Michael Barnett, 23, of 121 Evening Star Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 25 with driving under the influence.
Police reported Barnett was observed by a Naugatuck Police Officer driving erratically by passing a vehicle in a no-passing zone. Upon stopping Barnett, police reported, the officer administered field sobriety tests, which Barnett failed to perform to the standard. Barnett was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury
Superior Court on Feb. 7.
Ashley J. Famiglietti, 25, of 11 Seth Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 25 with disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief.
Police reported Famiglietti was taken into custody as a result of a domestic dispute in which she broke a glass door and damaged a door lock. Famiglietti was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 28.
Christina Finateri, 35, of 2 North Main St., Beacon Falls, was charged Jan. 25 with second-degree breach of peace.
Police reported on Jan. 25 at approximately 7:32 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported Finateri became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, Finateri struck the victim. Finateri was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 28.
Charles Jonathan Wall II, 21, of 193 Red Robin Road, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 26 with driving under the influence.
Police reported Wall was observed driving on New Haven Road and a traffic stop was initiated after Wall’s vehicle was observed swerving over the white fog line. Field tests were administered, police reported, and Wall failed to perform to standard and was taken into custody. Wall was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 7.
William Smith, 24, of 50 Coach Circle, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 26 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Jan. 26 at approximately 10:40 a.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported Smith became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated to Smith throwing items out of the residence from a window into the yard and onto the deck. Smith was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 28.
Kathryn Y. Ford, 33, of 84 Turner Ave., Watertown, was charged Jan. 27 with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police reported during the course of investigating a suspicious motor vehicle in the parking lot of Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, Ford was found to be in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Ford was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 27.
Matthew Patrick Knott, 34, of 45 Grand St., Seymour, was charged Jan. 27 with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police reported during the course of investigating a suspicious motor vehicle in the parking lot of Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, Knott was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Knott was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 27.
Donald A. Vizzo, 41, of 7 Seir Hill Road, Norwalk, was charged Jan. 27 with violation of probation.
Police reported on Jan. 27 Vizzo was arrested on a probation violation. Vizzo was released on a $1,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Feb. 6.
Susan Daniel Montez, 50, of 167 Meadow Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 27 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Jan. 27 officers responded to a disturbance between tenants in an apartment building in which Montez became involved in a verbal argument with the victim that escalated into a physical altercation outside of the residences. Montez was released on a promise to appear and given a court date to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 6.
Quetsy Lillian Mercer, 34, of 124 East Liberty St., Waterbury, was charged Jan. 27 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Jan. 27 officers responded to a disturbance between tenants in an apartment building in which Mercer became involved in a verbal argument with the victim that escalated into a physical altercation outside of the residences. Mercer was released on a promise to appear and given a court date to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 6.
Patricia Marie Ramos, 20, of 1547 Barnum Ave., Bridgeport, was charged Jan. 28 with conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny and fourth-degree larceny.
Police reported on Jan. 28 officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed Ramos illegally conceal over $1,000 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for the items. Ramos was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 6.
Namecca Divine, 20, of 57 Lenox Ave., Bridgeport, was charged Jan. 28 with conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny and fourth-degree larceny.
Police reported on Jan. 28 officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed Divine illegally conceal over $1,000 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for the items. Divine was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Feb. 6.
Erik Reid, 26, of 71 Cliff St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 28 with interfering with an emergency call and disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Jan. 28 at approximately 8:54 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that Reid was intoxicated. Reid became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, Reid pushed the victim to the ground, police reported. Reid was held on a $500 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 29.
Nicole King, 42, of 215 Porterfield Place, Freeport, N.Y., was charged Jan. 29 with interfering with an officer and criminal impersonation.
Police reported the investigating officer initiated a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. However, police reported, during the course of the traffic stop King provided a false name and impersonated another person in attempt to avoid positive identification by police. King was held on a $2,500 bond pending her appearance at Waterbury Superior Court.
