Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:
John O’Neil, 60, of 480 Millville Ave., Naugatuck, was charged June 28 with evading responsibility motor vehicle.

Tod Turner, 39, of 85 Ridge Road, Naugatuck, was charged June 30 with fourth-degree larceny.
Police reported on June 30 at approximately 1:44 a.m. Turner and another man were found pushing a shopping cart full of merchandise on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined they stole the merchandise from Walmart. The merchandise consisted of electronics, knives, candy and soda totaling $1,265.28, police reported. Turner was given a court date of July 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.
Delmont Peter-Wayne Staples, 39, of 140 Circle Drive, Bantam, was charged June 30 with fourth-degree larceny.

James Young, 36, of 41 Morning Mist Road, Waterbury, was charged June 30 with third-degree larceny.
Police reported on June 30 Young was arrested on a larceny that was reported on June 29, 2018. Police reported Young entered the victim’s vehicle and stole various items including a wallet, credit cards, gift cards, victim’s identification and a backpack. At the time of the arrest, police reported, Young was found to be in possession of some of the stolen items. Young was given a court date of July 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior
Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.
Meghan L. Davey, 32, of 35 May St., Naugatuck, was charged June 30 with third-degree larceny, fifth-degree larceny, fraudulent use of automatic teller machine and illegal use of credit card.
Police reported on June 30 Davey was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a fraudulent use of a credit card. Police reported Davey used the victim’s debit card to make unauthorized purchases totaling $144. The victim was known to Davey, police reported. Davey was given a court date of July 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
Laura Archer, 30, of 36 Woodland St., Naugatuck, was charged June 30 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
Police reported on June 30 at approximately 9:03 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Archer struck the victim with a hollow aluminum pole. Archer was given a court date of July 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
Jose A. Santiago, 38, of 402 Congress Ave., Waterbury, was charged July 1 with second-degree failure to appear.
Police reported on July 1 Santiago was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Santiago was given a court date of July 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 surety bond.
Caprice Armoni Nealy, 21, of 122 Oak St., Naugatuck, was charged July 1 with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.
Police reported on July 1 at approximately 4:22 p.m. an officer responded to a domestic disturbance between mother and adult daughter. Police reported they were arguing outside the residence, which led to a physical altercation. Nealy was given a court date of July 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.
Danielle Colocchio, 39, of 122 Oak St., Naugatuck, was charged July 1 with second-degree breach of peace.
Police reported on July 1 at approximately 4:22 p.m. an officer responded to a domestic disturbance between mother and adult daughter. Sammy Acosta Jr., 38, of 222 Bradley Ave., Waterbury, was charged July 1 with second-degree breach of peace.
Police reported on July 1 at approximately 9:47 p.m. officers responded to Orchard Terrace for a disturbance in the street. Police reported Acosta was involved in a physical altercation with the victim. The incident was called in by several residents that live in the area. Acosta and victim know each other, police reported. Acosta was given a court date of July 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.
Michael Uva, 22, of 76 Carriage Drive, Naugatuck, was charged July 2 with second-degree failure to appear.
Police reported on July 2 Uva was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Uva was given a court date of July 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.
Jesus Leonardo Correa, 22, of 23 Shelley St., Waterbury, was charged July 2 with violation or protective order.
Police reported an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. Police reported Correa was identified as a passenger in the vehicle. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined the operator had an active protective order against Correa. Correa was given a court date of July 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
Jamie Darouse, 27, of 58 Anderson St., Naugatuck, was charged July 2 with second-degree breach of peace, first-degree threatening, carrying a pistol without a permit, carrying a dangerous weapon and purchase firearm for illegal transfer.
Police reported on July 2 at approximately 4:49 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance in the area of Anderson Street and Washington Street. The Naugatuck Police Department received calls that a female was threatening a group of people with a firearm. During an argument, police reported, Darouse brandished a firearm and threatened the victim. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Darouse owned the firearm prior to living in Connecticut. Police reported Darouse did not transfer or register the firearm in Connecticut. Darouse does not have a Connecticut pistol permit, police reported. Based on the investigation the firearm was seized by the officers, police reported. Darouse was given a court date of July 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior
Court and released on a $20,000 surety bond.
Brian William Herpin, 38, of 114 Benedict St., Waterbury, was charged July 3 with sixth-degree larceny and first-degree criminal trespass.
Police reported on July 3 at approximately 6:44 a.m. officers responded to Walmart for a trespassing complaint. Based on the investigation, police reported, Herpin was arrested on the above listed charges. Herpin was given a court date of July 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
Kevin Greco, 37, of 358 Nichols Ave., Stratford, was charged July 3 with second-degree harassment.
Police reported on July 3 Greco was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a harassing phone call complaint made on May 26, 2018. Police reported Greco sent harassing text messages to the victim, who is known to him. Greco was given a court date of July 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.
Serina Chaunte Parker, 22, of 1045 Cooke St., Waterbury, was charged July 3 with second-degree breach of peace, third-degree assault, interfering with an officer and third-degree criminal mischief.
Police reported on July 3 Parker was arrested on the above listed charges. Parker was given a court date of July 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
Thomas Matthews, 60, of 111 Wooster St., Naugatuck, was charged July 3 with third-degree assault and first-degree violation of a condition of release.
Police reported on July 3 at approximately 6:17 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Matthews grabbed the victim and pulled her hair. Matthews was given a court date of July 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.
Police reported on July 3 at approximately 10:19 p.m. officers responded to a violation of a conditions of release. After being released from an earlier domestic disturbance, police reported, Matthews returned to the home. This was in violation of a conditions of release, which stated Matthews could not return to the home, police reported. Matthews was given a court date of July 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.
David Jvon Crenshaw, 24, of 194 Prospect St., Waterbury, was charged July 3 with sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, assault of public safety or emergency medical personnel, interfering with an officer and second-degree breach of peace.
Police reported on July 3 Crenshaw was arrested on the above listed charges. Crenshaw was given a court date of July 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a bond until his court date.
Jazmine Rose Torres, 21, of 27 Newman Ave., Waterbury, was charged July 3 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.
Police reported on July 3 at approximately 8:57 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Torres was arrested on the above listed charges. Torres was given a court date of July 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.
