The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

Richard Pavain, 35, of 15 Gilyard St., Seymour, was charged March 19 with breach of peace and third-degree sexual assault.

Police reported on March 19 at approximately 9:30 p.m. Pavain was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for sexual assault reported on March 4, 2018. Police reported Pavain inappropriately touched the victim, who is known to him. Pavain was given a court date of March 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 surety bond.

John Mortensen, 49, of 71 May Ave., 1fl, Naugatuck, was charged March 19 with disorderly conduct, interfering with an officer and failure to submit to fingerprinting.

Police reported on March 19 at approximately 6 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance between mother and son. Police reported Mortensen was intoxicated in the home and was belligerent to the victim. Police reported Mortensen slammed doors and broke a phone in the home. When Mortensen was being arrested, police reported, he resisted and pulled away from the officer. During the booking procedure, police reported, Mortensen refused to sign his fingerprint cards. Mortensen was given a court date of March 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 surety bond.

Sheila Mullins, 29, of 34 Giles St., Waterbury, was charged March 19 with sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy at sixth-degree larceny and first-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported on March 19 at approximately 7:18 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Prior to the officer’s arrival, police reported, Mullins left the store and drove away. The officer located and stopped the vehicle on South Main Street. Police reported Mullins stole merchandise and groceries totaling $268.81. Mullins was given a court date of March 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Jose Perez, 38, of 12-14 South St., Waterbury, was charged March 19 with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy at sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 19 at approximately 7:18 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Prior to the officer’s arrival, police reported, Perez left the store and drove away. The officer located and stopped the vehicle on South Main Street. Police reported Perez stole merchandise and groceries totaling $268.81. Perez was given a court date of March 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

Daniel Orama, 23, of 723 Cooke St., Waterbury, was charged March 20 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 20 at approximately 11:53 p.m. Orama was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Bristol. Orama was given a court date of March 28 to appear at Bristol Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

Destiny Maestri, 20, of 102 Faber Ave., Waterbury, was charged March 20 with two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 20 at approximately 11:53 p.m. Maestri was arrested on active arrest warrants out of Hartford and Bristol. Maestri was given a court date of March 28 to appear at Hartford Superior Court. Maestri was given a court date of March 29 to appear at Bristol Superior Court. She was released on bond.

Ramon Martinez, 20, of 19 Park Place, Naugatuck, was charged March 21 with interfering with an officer, engaging police in pursuit, third-degree larceny and second-degree criminal trover damage to motor vehicle.

Police reported on March 21 at approximately 5:26 p.m. Martinez was arrested an active arrest warrants. One warrant was for a motor vehicle investigation on Dec. 31, 2017. Police reported an officer attempted to initiate a motor vehicle stop on South Main Street. Police reported Martinez drove away from the officer and refused to stop. One warrant was for a stolen motor vehicle reported on Dec. 31, 2017. Police reported Martinez stole the victim’s vehicle, who is known to him, and caused damage to the vehicle. Martinez was given a court date of April 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a surety bond.

Ira Lacks, 36, of 46 Prospect St., Naugatuck, was charged March 21 with violation of probation/conditional discharge.

Police reported on March 21 at approximately 8:57 a.m. Lacks was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Lacks was given a court date of March 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $75,000 surety bond.

Patricia Pinto, 43, of 1081 New Haven Road 3b, Naugatuck, was charged March 21 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 21 officers responded to a domestic disturbance between mother and daughter. During an argument, police reported, Pinto pushed the victim causing her to fall to the floor. Pinto was given a court date of March 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

Kevin Smith, 45, of 30 Bentwood Drive, Waterbury, was charged March 22 with mandatory security requirements.

Police reported on March 22 at approximately 3:27 a.m. Smith was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a motor vehicle investigation on Jan. 8, 2018. Police reported Smith’s vehicle was not insured at the time of the investigation. Smith was given a court date of April 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Jeffrey Milam, 48, of 140 Manners Ave., Naugatuck, was charged March 22 with criminal impersonation and second-degree forgery.

Police reported on March 22 at approximately 4:01 p.m. Milam was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an impersonation complaint reported on March 4, 2018. Police reported Milam was given an infraction for a motor vehicle violation and gave a false name. Police reported Milam used the victim’s name during the motor vehicle investigation. Milam was given a court date of March 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

Brandon Onidi, 21, of 10 Park St., Shelton, was charged March 22 with possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on March 22 at approximately 9:59 p.m. Onidi was arrested on the above listed charge. Onidi was given a court date of April 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

Jhovanny Sanchez, 30, of 38 Cherry St. 2nd, Naugatuck, was charged March 22 with possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on March 22 at approximately 11:52 p.m. Sanchez was arrested on the above listed charge. Sanchez was given a court date of April 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

Annmarie Ignace, 26, of 1575 Highland Ave., Waterbury, was charged March 23 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on March 23 at approximately 1:13 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Park Place. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused was operating under the influence of alcohol. Ignace was given a court date of April 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Benjamin Ellis Jr., 36, of 39 Horton Hill Road, Naugatuck, was charged March 23 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 23 at approximately 11:28 a.m. Ellis was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on Sept. 25, 2017 between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Ellis pushed the victim into furniture. The victim sustained bruising to her legs, police reported. Ellis was given a court date of March 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

Muhamed Nikocevic, 20, of 112 Proctor St., Waterbury, was charged March 23 with violation of restraining order and second-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported on March 23 at approximately 9:12 a.m. officers responded to a violation of a protective order. Police reported Nikocevic violated the order by arriving at the victim’s employment. Nikocevic was advised in the past that he was not allowed on the property, police reported. Nikocevic was given a court date of March 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Edna Brewer, 53, of 1053 Christian Road, Middlebury, was charged March 23 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 23 at approximately 10:09 a.m. Brewer was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Brewer was given a court date of March 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $20,000 surety bond.

Josie Donofrio, 37, of 43 Quentin St., Waterbury, was charged March 23 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on March 23 at approximately 4:30 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Donofrio stole $123.04 worth of merchandise. Donofrio was given a court date of April 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released until her court date.

Tanya Pittman, 46, of 118 South St., Waterbury, was charged March 25 with illegal possession of narcotic, possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree forgery.

Police reported on March 25 at approximately 11:41 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on South Main Street. During the investigation, police reported, Pittman was found to be in possession of crack cocaine, smoking pipes and a digital scale. During the investigation, police reported, Pittman was found to be in possession of counterfeit bills, totaling $130. Pittman was given a court date of March 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a surety bond.
