The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

Joseph Casanova, 24, of 200 Horton Hill Road, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 19 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 19 at approximately 12:07 a.m. Casanova was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Casanova was given a court date of March 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $500 cash bond.

Scott Childs, 27, of 21 Endogen St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 19 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Feb. 19 at approximately 6:56 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Union Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Childs was operating under the influence of alcohol. Childs was given a court date of March 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety.

Michael Romano, 35, of 16 Arthur Lane, Saugerties, N.Y., was charged Feb. 20 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 20 at approximately 6:50 a.m. Romano turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Romano was given a court date of Feb. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

Raul Lima, 45, of 142 High St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 20 with criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny, first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 20 at approximately 4:46 p.m. officers responded to Cumberland Farms on Rubber Avenue for a larceny complaint. Police reported Lima concealed merchandise in his clothing. When an employee approached Lima, police reported Lima placed the items on a shelf and left the store. Lima was previously banned from the store. Police reported Lima was located on Maple Street and taken into custody. Police reported Lima was found to be wanted on an active arrest warrant. Lima was given a court date of Feb. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

Princess Gregory, 52, of 66 Prospect St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 20 with violation of probation/conditional discharge.

Police reported on Feb. 20 at approximately 8:30 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Bridge Street. Police reported Gregory was identified and found to be wanted on an active arrest warrant. Gregory was given a court date of Feb. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $10,000 surety bond.

Andre Genest, 28, of last known address Avon Street, Ansonia, was charged Feb. 21 with second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on Feb. 21 Genest was arrested while he was at court. The warrant was for a burglary reported on Sept. 2, 2017. Police reported Genest forced entry to the victim’s home causing damage to a window. There was nothing reported missing. Genest was given a court date of Feb. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held for arraignment.

Debbie L. Sugrue, 57, of 38 Cherry St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 21 with third-degree forgery, sixth-degree larceny and third-degree identity theft.

Police reported on Feb. 21 at approximately 2:47 p.m. Sugrue was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny complaint reported on 1/29/18. The accused stole two checks from the victim, who is known to the accused. The accused fraudulently cashed the checks for a total of $130.00. The accused was given a court date to appear at Waterbury Superior Court. She was released on a court set Promise to Appear.

Michael Korzen, 31, of 53 High St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 21 with three counts of third-degree burglary, three counts of second-degree criminal mischief and four counts of sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Feb. 21 at approximately 9:40 a.m. Korzen turned himself in on active arrest warrants. Three warrants were for burglaries reported on Dec. 24, 2017, Nov. 21, 2017 and Nov. 23, 2017. Police reported Korzen forced entry to a local restaurant and stole cash. Police reported one warrant was for a larceny reported on Nov. 22, 2017. Police reported Korzen entered a local restaurant and stole cash from the employee tip jar. Korzen was given a court date of Feb. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.

Daniel Parra-Uribe, 32, of 23 Golden Hill St. 2, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 21 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Feb. 21 at approximately 7:29 p.m. officers responded to Bridge Street for a suspicious vehicle complaint. Police reported Parra-Uribe was located on Golden Hill Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Parra-Uribe was operating under the influence. Parra-Uribe was given a court date of March 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a non-surety bond.

Zdzislaw Mycek, 68, of 77 School St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 21 with second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 21 at approximately 7:04 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Mycek threatened to harm the victim. Mycek was given a court date of Feb. 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $1,000 surety bond.

Mark Barber, 39, of 33 Locust St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 21 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Feb. 21 at approximately 10:40 p.m. Barber turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Barber was given a court date of March 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $136 cash bond.

Mary Shea, 32, of 110 Thunderbird Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 22 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Feb. 22 Shea was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny complaint reported on May 15, 2017. Police reported Shea stole three air conditioners from the victim, who is known to her. The air conditioners were located at a pawn shop and retrieved by the victim, police reported. Shea was given a court date of Feb. 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $500 surety bond.

Danielle Burr, 37, of 181 N. Elm St., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 22 with violation of probation/conditional discharge.

Police reported on Feb. 22 at approximately 11:24 a.m. Burr was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Burr was given a court date of March 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $25,000 surety bond.

Samuel Ellis, 22, of 167 3 Mt. Archer Road, Lyme, was charged Feb. 22 with illegal possession of narcotic and driving under the influence.

Police reported on Feb. 22 at approximately 11:20 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on South Main Street. During the investigation, police reported, Ellis was found to be in possession of marijuana and hashish. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Ellis was operating under the influence alcohol. Ellis was given a court date of March 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.

Kevin Morris, 30 of 58 Spring Brook Road, Waterbury, was charged Feb. 23 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 23 at approximately 3:04 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Morris punched the victim causing bruising to the victim’s eye. Morris was given a court date of Feb. 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.

Jessica Torres, 30, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 24 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Feb. 24 at approximately 11:20 a.m. Torres was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Torres was given a court date of March 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

Marlene Rodriguez, 34, of 501 Scott Road, Waterbury, was charged Feb. 24 with sixth-degree larceny and two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 24 at approximately 6:03 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Rodriguez purchased a few items and concealed $75.35 worth of merchandise in shopping bags. Police reported at approximately 6:15 p.m. Rodriguez was arrested on active arrest warrants. Rodriguez was given a court date of Feb. 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

Isaiah Prever, 26, of 195 Draher St., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 24 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Feb. 24 at approximately 9:12 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Prever was charged with the above listed charge. He was given a court date of March 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Matthew Maciver, 31, of 40 Waverley St., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 25 with violation of probation/conditional discharge.

Police reported on Feb. 25 at approximately 10:40 p.m. Maciver turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Maciver was given a court date of March 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $25,000 surety bond.

Brittany Zappone, 27, of 564 South Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 25 with weapons in vehicles.

Police reported on Feb. 25 at approximately 11:19 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, Zappone was found to be in possession of a BB gun in the vehicle. Zappone was given a court date of March 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

Joseph McCarthy, 33, of 142 Gorman St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 26 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Feb. 26 at approximately 1:35 a.m. officers responded to an erratic driver on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined McCarthy was operating under the influence of alcohol. McCarthy was given a court date of March 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Denzel Baines, 23, of 5 Lilac St., New Haven, was charged Feb. 26 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 26 at approximately 5:45 a.m. Baines turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Baines was given a court date of Feb. 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.
