The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

Superior court dispositions are available online. 

Phyllis McCall, 57, of 55 General Patton Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 11 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Sept. 11 at approximately 4 p.m. officers responded to New Haven Road by Osborn Road for a motor vehicle collision. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined McCall was operating under the influence. Police reported McCall’s vehicle was found not to be registered or insured at the time of the accident. McCall was given a court date of Sept. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.

Antwan Williams, 22, of 82 Greenwood St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 11 with violation of protective order and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on Sept. 11 at approximately 3:17 p.m. officers responded to the area of Bridge Street by Greenwood Street for a young juvenile walking in the roadway. The child was located, and there were was a woman, who was walking in the area, standing by with the child until the officers arrived. Police reported the child’s residence was located and Williams was found at the residence. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Williams was violating an active protective order by being in the home. Williams was given a court date of Sept. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

Joseph Ganavage, 60, of 51 Prospect St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 12 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Sept. 12 at approximately 7:42 p.m. Ganavage was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Ganavage was given a court date of Sept. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $92 cash bond.

Amanda Stevens, 30, of 1 Holbrook Place, Ansonia, was charged Sept. 13 with third-degree larceny and attempt to commit crime.

Police reported on Sept. 13 at approximately 11 p.m. Stevens turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on June 7, 2017. Police reported Stevens stole money from the victim’s trust fund. Stevens was given a court date of Sept. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Travis Tilley, 33, of 883 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 13 with first-degree sexual assault and illegal sexual contact of a victim under the age of 16.

Police reported on Sept. 13 police served an outstanding arrest warrant on Tilley stemming from an incident that was reported on Aug. 9, 2017 in which the parent of a juvenile victim under the age of 6 had been taken to a local hospital for a reported sex assault. Based on the results of an investigation into the assault, police reported, Tilley was charged with the listed crimes. Tilley appeared in Waterbury Superior Court at the time the arrest warrant was served on Sept. 13.

Glenn Wasilesky, 52, of 23 Dunn Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 13 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on Sept. 13 at approximately 10:54 a.m. Wasilesky was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a violation of a protective order reported on Aug. 30, 2017. Police reported Wasilesky entered the victim’s apartment, when she was not home, which was in violation of an active order. Wasilesky was given a court date of Sept. 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Raimundo Donasciment, 35, of 23 Burritt Place, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 13 with breach of peace, impersonation of a police officer and second-degree reckless endangerment.

Police reported on Sept. 13 at 5:30 p.m. police made an arrest in a suspicious person/vehicle incident that occurred on Sept. 11, 2017 on High Street. During the incident, police reported, a 16-year-old teen reported she was followed and approached several times by a man in a car who identified himself as an off duty police officer and repeatedly asked the girl if she wanted a ride. Donasciment was held on a $100,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 14.

Malik James, 19, of 194 Buckingham St., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 14 with second-degree reckless endangerment, interfering with an officer, engaging police in pursuit and
reckless driving.

Police reported on Sept. 14 at approximately 7:45 p.m. James was arrested on an active warrant. The warrant was for a motor vehicle investigation conducted on April 5, 2017. Police reported an officer attempted to stop James’ vehicle. Police reported James accelerated away from the officer and refused to stop. The officer ended the pursuit due to public safety. Police reported James was identified through the investigation. James was given a court date of Sept. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

Virginia Montini, 38, of 295 High St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 14 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Sept. 14 at approximately 5:28 p.m. Montini was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny complaint reported on Aug. 27, 2017 at Walmart. Police reported Montini stole $50 worth of merchandise. Montini was given a court date of Sept. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

Gina Luperella, 25, of 246 North Main St., Ansonia, was charged Sept. 14 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Sept. 14 at approximately 9:30 a.m. Luperella turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on Sept. 6, 2-17 between boyfriend and girlfriend. During the argument, police reported, Luperella grabbed the victim by his neck, causing scratches. Luperella was given a court date of Sept. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Joshua Watanabe, 21, of 318 Scott St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 14 with criminal attempt at second-degree assault, reckless driving and evading responsibility.

Police reported on Sept. 14 at approximately 5:39 p.m. officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Andrew Avenue. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined the accident was a result of a domestic disturbance. Watanabe and victim were arguing earlier in the day. The victim was driving home and Watanabe intentionally steered his vehicle into the victim’s car, police reported. Watanabe was given a court date of Sept. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

Travis Deluca, 28, of 16 Tolles Square, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 14 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Sept. 14 at approximately 7:52 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance between mother and son. During an argument, police reported, they were involved in a physical altercation. Deluca was given a court date of Sept. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Michele LeMaire, 48, of 16 Tolles Square, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 14 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Sept. 14 at approximately 7:52 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance between mother and son. During an argument, police reported, they were involved in a physical altercation. LeMaire was given a court date of Sept. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Sara Vanetten, 49, of 888 Highland Ave., Waterbury, was charged with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported officers were dispatched to Ocean State Job Lot on Rubber Ave on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed Vanetten conceal items totaling over $95 and exit the store without paying for them. Vanetten was released on promise to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Sept. 20.

Sean Flynn, 48, of 9 Beaver Brook Road, Danbury, was charged Sept. 15 with second-degree harassment and breach of peace.

Police reported on Sept. 15 at approximately 6 p.m. an officer investigated a harassing phone call complaint. Police reported Flynn contacted the victim numerous times by texting and phone calls, after being told not to. Flynn was given a court date of Sept. 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.

Carrie McClure, 37, of 62 Coit St., New London, was charged Sept. 16 with sixth-degree larceny and violation of probation/conditional discharge.

Police reported on Sept. 16 at approximately 1:12 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported McClure left the store after the store employees attempted to stop her. McClure was located in the area. Police reported at approximately 1:40 p.m. McClure was arrested on an active arrest warrant. McClure was given a court date of Sept. 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.
