The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

Marissa Mauro, 31, of 26 Stanley St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 7 with disorderly conduct and first-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported on Aug. 7 at approximately 8:34 p.m. Mauro turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a disturbance reported on June 15, 2017. Police reported Mauro arrived at the victim’s home and argued over child custody issues. Mauro left prior to the officers’ arrival, police reported. Mauro was given a court date of Aug. 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

Michael Wrigley, 29, of 8 Genest Ave., Prospect, was charged Aug. 8 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Aug. 8 Wrigley was arrested at court on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on Oct. 29, 2016 at Walmart. Police reported Wrigley stole $88.10 worth of merchandise. The asset protection officer was able to recover the merchandise before Wrigley fled the area, police reported. Wrigley was given a court date of Aug. 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held for arraignment.

Kyle Botelho, 25, of 353 Park Ave., Torrington, was charged Aug. 8 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 8 at approximately 12:28 a.m. Botelho was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Botelho was given a court date of Aug. 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $100 cash bond.

Deborah Howell, 61, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 8 with driving under the influence and drinking while operating a motor vehicle.

Police reported on Aug. 8 at approximately 3:58 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Howell was operating under the influence of alcohol. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Howell was drinking alcohol while driving. Howell was given a court date of Aug. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a non-surety bond.

Hector Cruz, 23, of 213 Wooster St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 8 with failure to respond to payable violation.

Police reported on Aug. 8 at approximately 4:17 p.m. Cruz was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Troop I. Cruz was given a court date of Aug. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $150 cash bond.

Joseph Ayala, 23, of 1710 Meriden Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 8 with criminal impersonation.

Police reported on Aug. 8 at approximately 4:20 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Cherry Street. Police reported Ayala provided a false name to the officer. Ayala was properly identified. He was given a court date of Aug. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

Joseph L. Stockwell, 50, of 475 North Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 8 with risk of injury to child, drinking while operating a motor vehicle and driving under the influence with a child passenger.

Police reported on Aug. 8 at approximately 6:39 p.m. an officer responded to North Church Street for an erratic driver. The officer located the erratic vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Bridge Street. Police reported Stockwell was identified as the operator and there was a juvenile passenger in the vehicle. The officer located a cup with beer in it resting in the center console, police reported. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Stockwell was operating under the influence of alcohol. Stockwell was given a court date of Aug. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

Jason Spadola, 46, of 351 City Hill St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 9 with second-degree assault with a firearm, unlawful discharge of firearms and first-degree reckless
Endangerment.

Police reported on Aug. 9 at approximately 9:45 a.m. officers responded to a local hospital for a male party with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim initially stated he shot himself, police reported. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Spadola, in an agitated state, shot the victim. The victim sustained a non-life threatening injury and was treated at a local hospital. Spadola was given a court date of Aug. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $200,000.00 surety bond.

Deborah O’Donnell, 44, of 155 Evening Star Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 9 with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Police reported on Aug. 9 at approximately 6:58 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance between husband wife. During an argument, police reported, O’Donnell threw an ashtray at the victim. Police reported the victim sustained scratches to his abdomen and back. O’Donnell was given a court date of Aug. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

Thomas Lamberti, 48, of 42 Brook St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 10 with two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 10 at approximately 6:34 a.m. Lamberti turned himself in on active arrest warrants. Lamberti was given a court date of Aug. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

Shannon Carroll, 39, of 42 Brook St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 10 with two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 10 at approximately 6:34 a.m. Carroll turned herself in on active arrest warrants. Carroll was given a court date of Aug. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

Edward Gotlibowski, 51, of no certain address, was charged Aug. 10 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Aug. 10 at approximately 2:49 p.m. Gotlibowski was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Gotlibowski was given a court date of Aug. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $92 cash bond.

Brian Gibran, 35, of 9 Cotton Hollow, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 10 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 10 at approximately 7:46 p.m. Gibran was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Gibran was given a court date of Aug. 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 surety bond.

Trevor Weinberg, 32, of 111 Mallane Lane, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 10 with second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 10 at 11:39 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Weinberg threatened to harm the victim. Weinberg was given a court date of Aug. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,000 non-surety bond.

Jason Ketchum, 20, of 22 Sunrise Road, Wolcott, was charged Aug. 11 with sixth-degree larceny and breach of peace.

Police reported on Aug. 11 at approximately 2:22 a.m. officers responded to South Main Street for a larceny complaint. Police reported an employee of the Department of Transportation observed Ketchum taking their traffic cones and placing them inside his vehicle. The cones were set in place while DOT was line painting. Ketchum was given a court date of Aug. 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Roger W. Jensen Jr., 27, of 71 Nancy Ann Court, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 11 with first-degree failure to appear and second degree failure to appear.

Kennith Belanger, 54, of 143 Beacon Valley Road, Beacon Falls, was charged Aug. 12 with second-degree harassment and violation of protective order.

Police reported on Aug. 12 Belanger was arrested on an active arrest warrant stemming from a domestic incident that occurred on July 8, 2017 in which officers responded to a domestic harassing phone calls complaint. The investigation revealed that Belanger was in violation of a standing protective order, police reported. Belanger was released on bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 14.

James Tzenos, 66, of 11 Graham Ridge, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 12 with risk of injury to child, breach of peace, first-degree threatening and second-degree reckless endangerment.

Police reported on Aug. 12 the Naugatuck Police Department was dispatched to the area of Rubber Avenue at Meadow Street on a report of a road rage incident in which the victim advised that Tzenos displayed a gun. The complainant obtained a registration plate, and officers responded to the address related to the registration and located the operator of the suspect vehicle. Tzenos advised that he had been involved in a confrontation at the noted location and advised he did have a gun with him, police reported. Police reported Tzenos admitted that he used the weapon as a deterrent during the exchange but claimed he did not display it. The weapon was located on the front passenger seat of Tzenos’ vehicle, police reported. Tzenos was released on a $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 23.

Joemill Monge, 31, of 13 Morning Dove Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 13 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 13 at approximately 5:17 p.m. Monge was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on July 12, 2017 between former boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Monge threw a bottle of hair spray, striking the victim. Monge was given a court date of Aug. 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $1,000 surety bond.

Michael Giugno, 23, of 16 Brook St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 13 with driving under the influence and evading responsibility.

Police reported on Aug. 13 at approximately 1:08 a.m. officers responded to City Hill Street for a motor vehicle accident. Police reported Giugno struck a utility pole and left the scene. He was later found at his residence, and it was determined Giugno was operating under the influence, police reported. Giugno was given a court date of Aug. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Michael Giugno, 53, of 16 Brook St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 13 with driving under the influence, evading responsibility and possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on Aug. 13 at approximately 1:08 a.m. officers responded to City Hill Street for a motor vehicle accident. Police reported Giugno was the passenger in the vehicle when it struck a utility pole. Giugno switched seats and drove the vehicle home, leaving the scene, police reported. He was later found at his residence, and it was determined Giugno was operating under the influence, police reported. During the investigation, police reported, Giugno was found to be in possession of a narcotic pill. Giugno was given a court date of Aug. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a non-surety bond.
