The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

Alexander Oneschuk, 70, of 1057 Andrew Mountain Road, Naugatuck, was charged June 26 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on June 26 at approximately 5:25 p.m. Oneschuk turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Oneschuk was given a court date of June 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $10,000 surety bond.

Jacklyn Lizotte, 36, of 108 Arrowhead Lane, Bethlehem, was charged June 26 with third-degree assault and breach of peace.

Police reported on June 26 at approximately 5:56 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Lizotte slapped the victim in the face. Lizotte was given a court date of June 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Donell Williams, 33, of 1949 Hodiamont Ave., St. Louis, was charged June 26 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on June 26 at approximately 7:11 p.m. an officer responded to the area of Marbern Lane for a soliciting complaint. Police reported Williams was located in the area soliciting without a permit. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Williams was wanted on an active arrest warrant. Williams was given a court date of July 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $50 cash bond.

Michael Merithew, 34, of 189 Bluebird Drive, Naugatuck, was charged June 27 with violation of probation/conditional discharge.

Police reported on June 27 Merithew turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Merithew was given a court date of July 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 court-set surety bond.

Erin Capozzi, 30, of last known address 1352 Bank St., Waterbury, was charged June 27 with possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on June 27 at approximately 7:24 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation. During the investigation, police reported, Capozzi was identified as a passenger in the vehicle. Police reported Capozzi was found to be in possession of a glass smoking pipe and marijuana. Capozzi was given a court date of July 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Police reported on June 27 at approximately 7:24 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation. During the investigation, police reported, Capozzi was identified as a passenger in the vehicle. Capozzi was wanted on an active arrest warrant. Capozzi was given a court date of July 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

Christopher Nezlo, 39, of 33 High St., Canaan, was charged June 28 with first-degree failure to appear, second-degree strangulation, third-degree assault and impersonation of a police officer.

Police reported on June 28 Nezlo was arrested on an active arrest warrant. He was given a court date of June 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $10,000surety bond.

Police reported on June 28 at approximately 1:09 p.m. an officer investigated a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Nezlo grabbed the victim by her neck. Nezlo was given a court date of June 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

Police reported on June 28 at approximately 1:09 p.m. officers were actively looking for Nezlo, who was wanted on a valid arrest warrant. Nezlo was located at a friend’s residence in Naugatuck. When the officers made contact with Nezlo, police reported he stated he was a federal law enforcement officer. Nezlo was in possession of what appeared to be authentic federal credentials, police reported. Nezlo was found not to be a federal officer and charged in impersonating an officer. Nezlo was given a court date of June 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

Jose Maisonet, 42, of 313 Wolcott St., Waterbury, was charged June 28 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on June 28 at approximately 2:57 p.m. Maisonet was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Troop C. Maisonet was given a court date of July 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $4,000 surety bond.

Rocco Navarra Jr., 33, of 231 North Main St., Naugatuck, was charged June 28 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on June 28 at approximately 4:44 p.m. officers responded to Big Y for a larceny complaint. Police reported Navarra stole merchandise from the store. He was given a court date of July 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.

Anthony J. Winters, 25, 83 Vernon St., Waterbury, was charged June 30 with threatening, breach of peace and second-degree harassment.

Police reported on June 30 at approximately 9:14 p.m. Winters was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an intimidation complaint. Police reported Winters contacted the victim through messaging and phone calls threatening to harm her family. The victim is known to Winters. Winters was given a court date of July 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

David Almeida, 47, of 79 High St., Naugatuck, was charged June 30 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on June 30 at approximately 6:52 p.m. Almeida turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on June 25, 2017 between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Almeida hit the victim, causing a laceration to the bridge of her nose. Almeida was given a court date of July 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Michael Clifford, 37, of 17 Hazel Ave., Naugatuck, was charged June 30 with breach of peace.

Police reported on June 30 at approximately 6 p.m. an officer observed Clifford yelling at the victim on Meadow Street. Police reported Clifford kicked the victim’s vehicle’s door during the argument. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined the victim was Clifford’s brother. Clifford was given a court date of July 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

Mark Wenzloff II, 27, of 210 Beardsley Road, Shelton, was charged June 30 with credit card theft by transfer, third-degree forgery, illegal use of credit card, third-degree identity theft and sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on June 30 at approximately 9:38 p.m. Wenzloff was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny complaint reported on Aug, 22 2016. Police reported Wenzloff stole the victim’s purse from a local bar which contained the victim’s credit cards. Wenzloff used the victim’s credit cards to make several fraudulent purchases at various locations, police reported. Wenzloff was given a court date of July 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 court-set cash bond.

Gregg W. Valentine Jr., 36, of 390 Wooster St., Naugatuck, was charged July 1 with disorderly conduct, first-degree threatening and violation of protective.

Police reported on July 1 at approximately 1:28 a.m. officers responded to Wooster Street on a reported domestic disturbance between Valentine and a family member. It was determined that the two became involved in an argument, police reported, and that Valentine made threats against the victim of bodily harm. These threats also violated a standing protective order issued against Valentine, police reported. Valentine was held on a $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 3.

Michael Mauro, 33, of 619 Old Litchfield Turnpike, Bethany, was charged July 2 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on July 2 at approximately 7:30 a.m. Mauro was arrested on an active failure to appear arrest warrant. Mauro was released on a court-ordered $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 12.

Jessica Maloney, 36, of 1005 North Main St., Wallingford, was charged July 2 with violation of probation.

Police reported on July 2 Maloney was arrested on an active failure to appear arrest warrant for a parole violation. Maloney was held on a court-ordered bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 3.

Robert Douglass, 20, of 25 George St., Naugatuck, was charged July 2 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on July 2 at approximately 11:47 p.m. officers responded to George Street on a reported domestic disturbance. Upon speaking with both subjects involved, police reported, it was determined that the two became involved in an argument that became physical when Douglass grabbed the victim. Douglass was released on a non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 3.
