The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

KENDRICK HYDE, 50, of 24 Cold Spring Circle, Naugatuck, was charged June 13 with disorderly conduct, interfering with an officer, threatening and third-degree assault.

Police reported on June 13 at approximately 3:14 p.m. officers were dispatched to 24 Cold Spring Circle for a domestic disturbance between former husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Hyde threatened to harm the victim. He also broke the victim’s cell phone and a kitchen chair, police reported. When the officers were on scene he refused to comply with the officer’s commands, police reported. Hyde was given a court date of June 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.

JOHN LEWIS, 45, of 50 Olivia St., Derby, was charged June 13 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on June 13 at approximately 5:34 p.m. Lewis was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Lewis was given a court date of June 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $5,000 surety bond.

ANGEL VASQUEZ JR., 27, of 123 Cook St., Waterbury, was charged June 14 with first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on June 14 at approximately 1:43 a.m. Vasquez was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Vasquez was given a court date of June 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $75,000 surety bond.

ACHAUNTI STRONG, 18, of 8 Pond St., Naugatuck, was charged June 14 with breach of peace.

Police reported on June 14 officers responded to the area of Cedar Street and Church Street for a suspicious party. Police reported Strong was walking in the area yelling profanities and attempting to instigate fights with pedestrians in the area. When the officers arrived, police reported, Strong refused to stop yelling. Strong was given a court date of June 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

PHILIP KELLEY, 38, of 288 High St., Naugatuck, was charged June 14 with first-degree failure to appear and second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on June 14 at approximately 4:14 p.m. Kelley was arrested on active arrest warrants. Kelley was given a court date of June 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set surety bond.

MARY JOHNSON, 49, of 63 Radnor Ave., Naugatuck, was charged June 14 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on June 14 at approximately 11:11 p.m. an officer responded to Maple Street by South Main Street for a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Johnson was operating under the influence of alcohol. Johnson was given a court date of June 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

SAMANTHA BARREIRA, 18, of 7 Prospect Ave., Seymour, was charged June 14 with breach of peace.

Police reported on June 14 at approximately 6:45 p.m. officers responded to McDonalds for an intoxicated party. Police reported Barreira was yelling inside the establishment at the employees. When the officers made contact with her, police reported, Barreira became uncooperative. Barreira was given a court date of June 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

LUCIENE BRAGA, 36, of 63 Olive St., Naugatuck, was charged June 15 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on June 15 at approximately 7:02 a.m. Braga turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. Braga was given a court date of June 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $500 cash bond.

CHRISTHOPER KUROWSKI, 19, of 102 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged June 15 with second-degree threating and June 16 with second-degree strangulation, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on June 15 at approximately 3:33 p.m. officers responded to 102 Spring St. 1st floor for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. Police reported Kurowski threatened to harm the victim. Kurowski was given a court date of June 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.

Police reported on June 16 at approximately 9:02 a.m. Kurowski was arrested on an active arrest while he attended court. During an argument, police reported, Kurowski placed his forearm on the victim’s neck and pinned her against a wall. Kurowski was given a court date of June 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held for arraignment.

GORGE TIGRE, 23, of 290 High St., Naugatuck, was charged June 15 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on June 15 at approximately 9:25 p.m. Tigre was with the victim, who he has an active protective order with out of New York. Tigre was given a court date of June 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

JACQUELINE GOLDING, 51, of 195 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged June 16 with issuing a bad check.

Police reported on June 16 at approximately 1:09 p.m. Golding was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for issuing a bad check. Police reported Golding gave the victim a check for the amount of $106.35 for a service call for an appliance. The bank informed the victim that checking account had a stop payment on the check, police reported. Golding was given a court date to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

JASLIN MARTINEZ, 31, of 163 Highland Ave., Naugatuck, was charged June 17 with second-degree harassment.

Police reported on June 17 at approximately 9:26 a.m. Martinez was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a harassing phone call complaint made on March 18, 2016. Police reported Martinez contacted the victim several times through text messaging and phone calls using profanities. Martinez was given a court date of June 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

DEREK OSTONI, 37, of 64 Carroll St., Naugatuck, was charged June 17 with breach of peace and sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on June 17 at approximately 1:55 p.m. officers responded to Carroll Street for a possible burglary. Police reported Ostoni recently moved out of the apartment and attempted to gain access to retrieve belongings. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Ostoni stole knives, valued at $150, from his former roommate. Ostoni was given a court date of June 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

ANTONIO SANTOS, 18, of 553 South Main St., Waterbury, was charged June 17 with disobeying officer signal motor vehicle and reckless driving: not greater than 85 mph.

Police reported on June 17 at 5:16 p.m. an officer was traveling on Spencer Street. The officer observed a male and female in an altercation. The officer turned his vehicle around and Santos drove away, police reported. Santos refused to stop and drove in a reckless manner, police reported. Santos stopped on South Main Street. Santos was given a court date of June 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

LEONARD BRATCHELL II, 24, of 30 Tudor Lane, Naugatuck, was charged June 18 with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on June 18 an officer responded to Hillside Avenue for a burglary. Police reported Bratchell entered a former girlfriend’s home and stole money from the victim. Bratchell was given a court date of June 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

FABRICIO XAVIER, 34, of 82 Svea Ave., Naugatuck, was charged June 18 with risk of injury to child, third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace.

Police reported on June 18 officers responded to 151 Andrew Ave. for a disturbance in the parking lot between former husband and wife. Police reported Xavier approached the victim, who was seated in her vehicle with two juveniles. Police reported Xavier began to argue with the victim and punched the vehicle window until it broke. Xavier was given a court date of June 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

WILLIAM ALVARADO JR., 41, of 21 Olive St. 2nd, Naugatuck, was charged June 19 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on June 19 at approximately 5 p.m. Alvarado was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Alvarado was given a court date of June 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $2,500 surety bond.

JAMES BRIDGES JR., 22, of 693 East Main St., Waterbury, was charged June 19 with two counts of breach of peace, first-degree robbery, conspiracy at first-degree robbery, interfering with an officer, fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy at fourth-degree larceny.
