The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

MICHELLE STRAIN, 49, of 73 Carriage Drive, Naugatuck, was charged May 23 with third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on May 23 Strain was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a vandalism complaint made on May 14, 2016. Police reported Strain punctured the rear tire of the victim’s motorcycle, valued at $200. Strain is known to the victim. Strain was given a court date of May 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

ALFONSO VILLEGAS, 35, of 28 Dunn Lane, Naugatuck, was charged May 23 with disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer.

Police reported on May 23 at approximately 5 p.m. an officer was traveling north on Spring Street. Villegas was riding a bicycle in the middle of the street and disrupting the flow of traffic, police reported. When the officer stopped Villegas, police reported, he began to yell obscenities and was uncooperative with the officer. Villegas was given a court date of June 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

AUGUSTUS MELCHIONNO, 56, of 4 Michelle Lane, Naugatuck, was charged May 24 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on May 24 at approximately 1:51 a.m. officers responded to 4 Michelle Lane for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Tina Melchionno scratched Augustus Melchionno and Augustus Melchionno grabbed and twisted Tina’s Melchionno wrists. Augustus Melchionno was given a court date of May 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

TINA MELCHIONNO, 53, of 4 Michelle Lane, Naugatuck, was charged May 24 with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Police reported on May 24 at approximately 1:51 a.m. officers responded to 4 Michelle Lane for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Tina Melchionno scratched Augustus Melchionno and Augustus Melchionno grabbed and twisted Tina’s Melchionno wrists. Tina Melchionno was given a court date of May 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

PAUL ALEXANDER, 29, of 68 Summerfield St., Naugatuck, was charged May 24 with second-degree failure to appear, driving under the influence, possession of controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on May 24 at approximately 4:23 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Beacon Valley Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Alexander was operating under the influence of alcohol. Alexander was given a court date of May 25 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000.00 surety bond. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Alexander was wanted on an active arrest warrant. Alexander was given a court date of June 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court set $1,000 surety bond. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Alexander was found to be possession of heroin. Alexander was given a court date of May 25 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $1,000 surety bond.

KARL CHLUDINSKY, 18, of 17 Bingham St., Naugatuck, was charged May 24 with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, threatening, second-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree unlawful restraint.

Police reported on May 24 at approximately 4:09 p.m. an officer responded to a report of a past domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Chludinsky slapped the victim. Police reported Chludinsky also pushed the victim onto the bed and stabbed the bed near her. Chludinsky was given a court date of May 25 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 surety bond.

MALLORY PINTO, 19, of 20 George St., Naugatuck, was charged May 25 with disorderly conduct

Update: The charge filed against Pinto was nolled at Waterbury Superior Court on June 29, 2016.

Police reported on May 25 at approximately 3:03 p.m. Pinto was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend reported on May 6, 2016. During an argument, police reported, Pinto punched the victim. Pinto was given a court date of May 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

DELANO FALLOON, 33, of 64 Santoro St., Waterbury, was charged May 25 with interfering with an officer.

Police reported on May 25 at approximately 9:09 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Cross Street. Falloon was a passenger in the vehicle. During the investigation, police reported, Falloon initially gave a false name to the officer. Falloon was given a court date of June 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

ERIKA MATTHEWS, 21, of 111 Wooster St., Naugatuck, was charged May 25 with third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on May 25 officers responded to a domestic dispute in which Matthews had caused damage to the residence by punching a hole in a wall. Matthews was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 26.

MICHAEL ELIASSON, 35, of 97 Westfield Ave., Ansonia, was charged May 25 with breach of peace and second-degree harassment.

Police reported on May 25 officers responded to a compliant of a domestic harassment. The complainant advised that Eliasson was calling and texting her with numerous (over 60) harassing messages over a short period of time, police reported. Eliasson then showed up at the residence of the complainant’s friend’s home and at her place of work being disruptive, police reported. Eliasson was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 26.

CHRISTINE MOTT, 33, of 17 Salem St., Naugatuck, was charged May 25 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on May 25 at approximately 9:32 p.m. Mott turned herself in on an active arrest warrant out of Derby. Mott was given a court date of June 6 to appear at Derby Superior Court and released on a court-set $1,000 surety bond.

JOSEPH GRIMSLEY, 25, of 55 Luke St., Waterbury, was charged May 26 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on May 26 at approximately 1:57 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Grimsley was operating under the influence of alcohol. Grimsley was given a court date of June 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

PHILIP KELLEY, 38, of 288 High St., Naugatuck, was charged May 26 with violation of probation/conditional discharge.

Police reported on May 26 Kelley was arrested for violation of probation at his residence. Kelley was released on a $2,500 court-set bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 8.

KEVIN HUNT, 27, of 11 Southview St., Naugatuck, was charged May 26 with violation of probation/conditional discharge.

Police reported on May 26 Hunt was arrested on for violation of probation at his place of employment. Hunt was released on a $2,500 court-set bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 8.

CHRISTOPHER WENZLOFF, 24, of 210 Beardsley Road, Shelton, was charged May 26 with third-degree burglary, interfering with an officer, criminal impersonation, simple trespass, criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny, first-degree failure to appear and violation of probation/conditional discharge.

Police reported on May 26 officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious individual going through parked cars. Witnesses provided a description of suspect who they advised opened the door to their parked car. Police reported the witnesses advised they asked the man what he was doing and that he replied he wasn’t doing anything and walked away on Rubber Ave. Wenzloff was located in the area and was positively identified, police reported. Wenzloff also was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a violation of failing to appear in court. Police reported Wenzloff was arrested on for violation of probation at his residence. Wenzloff was given a court date to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 27.

RANDY HARRIOT, 24, of 502 Shelton Ave., Hamden, was charged May 27 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on May 27 at approximately 1:47 p.m. Harriot turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Harriot was given a court date of June 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $10,000 surety bond.

ROBERT SWODITCH, 50, of 111 Mallane Lane, Naugatuck, was charged May 27 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on May 27 at approximately 11:19 p.m. officers responded to 111 Mallane Lane for a suspicious motor vehicle investigation. During the investigation,police reported, it was determined Swoditch was operating under the influence of alcohol. Swoditch was given a court date of June 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

MELISSA DUQUE, 29, of 9 Hemlock Road, Naugatuck, was charged May 28 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on May 28 at approximately 10:10 a.m. Duque was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Duque was given a court date of June 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

WALTER SAUNDERS, 44, of 2530 Willow St., Waterbury, was charged May 28 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on May 28 at approximately 1:50 p.m. Saunders was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Bristol. Saunders was given a court date of June 1 to appear at Bristol Superior Court and released on a court-set $500 cash bond.

VANESSA ALVARADO, 19, of 122 High St., Naugatuck, was charged May 28 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on May 28 officers responded to Hoadley Street for a disturbance. While the officers were investigating the disturbance, police reported, Alvarado attempted to leave the scene in a vehicle. Alvarado was stopped and during the investigation it was determined Alvarado was operating under the influence of alcohol, police reported. Alvarado was given a court date of June 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

MILES BRIHIM, 19, of 231 Meadow St., Naugatuck, was charged May 28 with third-degree assault, interfering with an officer and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on May 28 at 10:06 p.m. officers responded to Hoadley Street for a disturbance. Upon the officers’ arrival, police reported, Brihim threw the victim to the ground. Brihim was uncooperative and yelled profanities at the officers, police reported. Brihim was given a court date of June 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

UNIQUE FELIX, 23, of 25 Ward St., Naugatuck, was charged May 29 with interfering with an officer and breach of peace.

Police reported on May 29 at approximately 1:06 a.m. an officer was approached by the security staff at 66 Church Street regarding an unwanted female in the establishment. Upon the officer’s arrival, police reported, Felix was uncooperative. She attempted to walk away from the officer and she threatened to burn him with her lit cigarette, police reported. Felix was given a court of June 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

NATALIA ILLAS, 26, of 191 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged May 29 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on May 29 at approximately 2:26 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 191 Spring St. between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, both parties scratched and slapped each other. Illas was given a court date of May 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

JUSTIN PARLOW, 25, of 191 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged May 29 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on May 29 at approximately 2:26 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 191 Spring St. between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, both parties scratched and slapped each other. Parlow was given a court date of May 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

DANIEL COCHRAN, 36, of 11 Locust St., Naugatuck, was charged May 29 with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.

Police reported on May 29 at approximately 10:40 p.m. officers responded to 11 Locust St. for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Sherri Cochran pushed Daniel Cochran and Daniel Cochran broke furniture in the home. Cochran was given a court date of May 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

SHERRI ANN COCHRAN, 35, of 11 Locust St., Naugatuck, was charged May 29 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on May 29 at approximately 10:40 p.m. officers responded to 11 Locust St. for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Sherri Cochran pushed Daniel Cochran and Daniel Cochran broke furniture in the home. Cochran was given a court date of May 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

ARMAND GARBATINI, 76, of 20 Salem Boulevard, Naugatuck, was charged May 30 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on May 30 at approximately 2:16 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Pearl Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Garbatini was operating under the influence of alcohol. Garbatini was given a court date of June 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
