SEYMOUR — Virginia Kisson, 90, of Seymour, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022, at Connecticut Hospice. Virginia was born in Derby, on Oct. 2, 1931, daughter of the late Samuel and Anastasia (Gowcheck) Kisson, both of Seymour. A graduate of Seymour High School, Virginia worked as an agent at Maybury Insurance until her retirement. She enjoyed karate, yoga, gardening, and was an avid reader.
Survivors include her brother, Lawrence “Gary” Kisson; sister-in-law, Dorothy Kisson; nieces, Nancy Pelletier, Virginia Duke, and Adrienne Kisson; nephews, Richard “Sam” Kisson and Jason Haskedakes; great-nieces, Anastasia Duke, Nina Pelletier, and Nora Kisson; and great-nephews, Adam Duke, Ethan Kisson, and Ethan Haskedakes.
She was predeceased by sisters, Florence Kisson, Vivian Haskedakes, and Barbara Busillo; and brother, Richard Kisson.
At Virginia’s request, private burial services will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia at the convenience of the family. The Miller-Ward Funeral Home of Seymour has been entrusted with her care.
