WATERBURY — Vincent A. Lupachino (Lupo), 83, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Darlene (Beck) Lupachino.
Mr. Lupachino was born March 3, 1940, in Waterbury, son of the late Peter and Virginia (Marchese) Lupo. He was a retired electrical contractor and was a longtime Risdon employee, retiring after 25 years.
Active in his community, he was one of the founding members of the Naugatuck Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
In addition, he served as a volunteer for the Naugatuck Volunteer Fire Department where he served as captain and deputy chief.
In 1991, he also founded Lupo Electric, which today is a very successful electrical company operated by his youngest son.
In addition to his wife of 47 years, Mr. Lupachino leaves behind his sons, Vincent (Lori), Richard (Maya), Perry (Terry), Craig (Marzena), Peter (Nikki); and his daughters, Shellie Hertel (Richard), Carolann Yuja (Nestor) and Keri Maynard (Jason). He will also be missed by his 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were to be Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck. Calling hours were to be at the funeral home Saturday morning, from 9 a.m. until the start of the service.
