ROXBURY — Ruth (Zembroski) Eazarsky passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Edward C. Eazarsky.

Born in Waterbury on Jan. 29, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophie (Dajnerowicz) Zembroski. Ruth was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and a longtime resident of Waterbury before moving to Roxbury in 1987. She was co-owner with her husband of Stanley’s Bakery in Waterbury until its closing in 1980.

She enjoyed collecting antiques and jewelry. She was also an animal lover and supported animal rescue work in Connecticut.

Ruth is survived by her son Edward S. Eazarsky of Wolcott; daughter Krista Eazarsky Gatt and son-in-law Joseph Frank Gatt of Great Falls, Va., and her loving grandson Joseph Edward Gatt.

Visitation was to be Friday, May 5, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 N. Main St., Naugatuck. A Mass of Christian Burial was to follow at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 11 a.m. Burial was to be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck at a later date.
