FORT PIERCE, Fla. — Wanda Ann Millette, 70, of Fort Pierce, Fla., died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, after a courageous and long battle with Multiple Sclerosis, at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Fort Pierce.

Born on Oct. 21, 1943, to Stanley and Ann Zemeir in Waterbury, Conn., she was raised in Naugatuck, Conn., where she attended school.

She married Ken Millette, who was also from Waterbury, and shared 48 years together.

She worked for many years at the Middlebury Convalescent Home in Middlebury, Conn., while attending school to become one of Waterbury Hospital’s best phlebotomist.

In order to give her children the childhood they would remember, she also worked as a practical nurse, in order to pay for the many vacations to Disney, SeaWorld, Hawaii, and cruises with her husband, kids, and her mother “Babci,” who she loved dearly.

She was a longtime member of the Polish National Catholic Church in Union City, Conn.

Survivors include her husband, Ken Millette, of Fort Pierce, who cared and loved her for years through the very good times and the very worse of times with her MS like no man could have; she had two sons, Kenny Millette, of Fort Pierce, and Gary Millette, of Connecticut; one daughter, Tami Beaulieu; three grandchildren, Amanda Millette, David Beaulieu, and Ame Beaulieu; and her brother, Ed Zemeir, who gave her one of her best memories of her 15th birthday.

She loved all three of her grandchildren dearly; Amanda, David and Ame and so loved every minute with them and the memories they gave her and those three little Angels gave her the strength to carry on with her daily fight.
