
NAUGATUCK — Theodore P. “Ted” Zuzick, 83, of Naugatuck passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021 at his home. He was the devoted husband of Judy (Robinson) Zuzick for over 61 years. Theodore was born on Nov. 18, 1937, in Bridgeport, son of the late Martin and Helen (Zitnay) Zuzick.
Ted and Judy moved from Fairfield to Naugatuck in 1967, Ted worked for Haydon Switch and Instrument for over 38 years until his “permanent vacation” or retirement. He served his country with honor and pride with the U.S. Navy, and was a man with a strong work ethic, which he instilled in all of his children. Ted enjoyed camping with his family, golfing and horseshoes, and was a member of the Naugatuck Elks Lodge 967.
Ted is the beloved father of Cheryl Zuzick of Naugatuck, Theodore “Teddy” (Lisa Reynolds) Zuzick of Naugatuck,Kenneth (Marie) Zuzick of Terryville and David Zuzick. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, David Brian Barraco, Jennifer Lynn Zuzick, Zachary Zuzick and Kennedy Zuzick; his cherished great-grandchildren, Jennelle and Kylie Ellis; and his siblings, Robert Zuzick of Massachusetts, Martin (Mary Jane) Zuzick of Huntington, David (Catherine) Zuzick of Naugatuck, Arlene Zuzick of Massachusetts and Alice Mahan of Washington. Ted was predeceased by his sister, Shirley Conklin.
Friends may greet Ted’s family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St., Naugatuck, on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, from 5 until 6:30 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., his funeral services will begin at the funeral home, with the Naugatuck Elks Lodge 967, Naugatuck Veterans Council, and military honors will be rendered. Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family.
