MIDLAND, N.C. — Solange Angela (Perrault) Lorusso, 82, formerly of Prospect, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Nicholas W. Lorusso.
Mrs. Lorusso was born on Aug. 22, 1930 in Waterbury a daughter of the late Harry J. Perreault and Anna Marie (Neveu) Perreault. She was retired from the medical field having been a registered nurse for many years. She was an alumni of the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. She was an Army veteran having served as a second lieutenant in the Korean Conflict.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Dumas of Midland, N.C.; one son, Mark Lorusso of Watertown and a sister, Yolande Chabot of Bristol. She also leaves five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband she is predeceased by one son, Renault Perreault; one sister, Gaitane Hanlon Trigilia and two brothers, Father Aurele Perreault and Renault Perreault.
The funeral will be held on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Entombment with full military honors will be in Calvary Garden Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.
