NAUGATUCK — Rosa (DePinho) Lapinski, 89, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at the VITAS unit of St. Mary’s Hospital. She was the widow of Robert Lapinski and Francisco Maria DePinho.

Mrs. Lapinski was born in South Bend, Ind., on May 29, 1924, daughter of the late Francisco Maria and Maria Francisca (Campos) DePinho. She had worked at Uniroyal, Inc. for many years as well as other various companies. Rosa enjoyed cooking, baking, spending time with her family and she especially loved children. She was a communicant of St. Hedwig Church.

She is survived by her four daughters, Apolonia “Pauline” Roy of Cheshire, Barbara Blanc O’Loskey of Naugatuck, Christina Widuch Kelly of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Diana DePinho of Naugatuck; her sister, Ida Rebelo of Naugatuck; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Shane Jason Blanc.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 10:15 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, to St. Hedwig Church, 32 Golden Hill St., Naugatuck, for a mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held on Monday evening from 5to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
