WATERTOWN — Regina Mary Trosky Rollo, 70, of Watertown, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021.

Regina was born in Thomaston on Aug. 23, 1950, to the late George and Roslyn (Parker) Trosky. She loved her family, friends and her dog, Toby.

Regina had various jobs throughout her life that included working the desk at Colonial Lanes in Waterbury and working for Rexam in Thomaston, where she made a lot of friends. Regina had the fortune of living a simple life and she was always there for her family. She was also a devoted pet lover.

Her greatest accomplishment were her sons, Joe and Rob. Before meeting her husband of 45 years, Fred, Regina was a single mom and struggled at times. At the end of the day, she always made sure her boys were taken care of and had everything they needed, even if it meant making personal sacrifices.

Her boys were equally as proud of her for the way she raised them. Mom was a good mom. Period.

Regina will be deeply and forever missed by her husband, Fred Rollo of Watertown; her son, Robert Ventura of Watertown; her son, Joseph Ventura of Jupiter, Fla., and his wife, Tina; and her only grandson, Brandon Ventura; siblings Carol Rybinski of Watertown and Janice Hayes of Waterbury; nieces and nephews, Darlene Corbett, Dave Wilde, Brian Rybinski, Tracy Cochran, George Trosky, Dana Trosky, Dan Collins, Michael Collins, Carolyn Smith, Steven Collins, Kevin Collins, Frank Trosky, Don Rybinski, Ron Rybinski, Lori Rotella and Sherri Messina; as well as many cousins-in-law, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members.

She will also be missed by the many friends she had throughout her life.

The family would like to especially acknowledge Regina’s unbelievably gentle and attentive caretakers, Christine, Stacie, Maria, Mary and Tracy. You were an all-star team and words cannot express the family’s gratitude we have for your punctuality, concern, care and most of all, the love you showed her over a truly short period of time. Regina liked you because if she did not, she would have told you. She was lucky to have you there at an especially important moment in her life. We are forever grateful.

Regina was predeceased by her beloved brothers, George Trosky and Frank Trosky; niece, Wendy Rybinski Bendler; nephew, Peter Rybinski; nephew, Dennis Hayes.

Regina will be laid to rest with family at Hillside Cemetery in Thomaston. Unfortunately, they do not do winter burials so her services will be postponed until April and provided by Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. Notice of services will be made at that time in the paper and on social media.
