WATERBURY — Mrs. Pauline (Weaver) Freeman, 93, daughter of Paul and Ora (Suber) Weaver and widow of Mr. Wilbur G. Freeman, formerly of 175 Pearl St., Waterbury, went on to glory at Abbott Terrace in Waterbury, Tuesday, March 26, 2013 with her loving family surrounding her.
Mrs. Freeman was born Nov. 26, 1919 in Saluda, S.C. and attended the local schools. She worked at Waterbury Buckle for over 25 years until her retirement.
Mrs. Freeman leaves to mourn her passing children, who called her “mom,” Dr. Abraham (Grace) (Mary) Weaver, Whegan, Ga. and John (Valerie) I. Weaver (Boe), Mrs. Delores (Lois) Ricketts (Dana, Sharla, Shartrice) and Mrs. Rose (Santo) Jones (Angela, Pamela, Juanita, Santo Jr. and Andre’ White) of Waterbury.
She is predeceased by seven brothers, Henry Weaver, Isiah Weaver, William (Bill) Weaver, Paul Weaver, Harvey (Sunk) Weaver, Harry Weaver, and Charles (June) Weaver and seven sisters, Florence Weaver, Misslelou Abney, Pearl Meldrum, Rebecca Abney, Marie Hargrove, Annie Wells, Oral Lee Weaver and host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services for Pauline will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Zion Baptist Church, 137 Pearl St., Waterbury, CT 06710. Calling hours will be at 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury.
