NAUGATUCK– Mrs. Pauline (Desrochers) Venslow, 90, formerly of Hazel Ave., passed away at Sunday Feb. 20 Beacon Brook Health Center. She was the widow of Henry Venslow.
Mrs. Venslow was born in Woonsocket, R.I. on Sept. 20, 1920, a daughter of the late Napoleon and Amilda (Armstrong) Desrochers. She was a longtime Naugatuck resident and a retiree of the footwear division of Uniroyal, Inc. where she worked for 30 years. She was a communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and vacationing at her cottage in Rhode Island.
She leaves her daughter, Paula Bonczek of Naugatuck; a sister, Claire Lebel of Ludlow, Mass.; three grandchildren, Jessica Gaffney, Nicholas and Laura Bonczek; two great-grandchildren, Gina Rainone and Ty Gaffney; several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck to St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck for a mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
