WATERBURY– Pauline A. (Carnaroli) DiMasi, 73, of East Main Street, Waterbury, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Saint Mary’s Hospital.
Pauline was born on August 5, 1937 in Naugatuck, a daughter of the late Raymond F. and Mary J. (Pagliaro) Carnaroli.  She was a beloved person to all who knew her.  She was an especially incredible mother and grandmother.  Her warmth for people and generous nature were always apparent.  She was an avid sports fan, especially Derek Jeter and the NY Yankees.  Pauline retired from Saint Mary’s Hospital after 23 years of dedicated work in the dietary department.
She leaves behind a sister, Marie Rainville of Wolcott; a daughter, Lori Grazuna and son-in-law Augusto of Wolcott; she also leaves three beloved grandchildren, Justin Grazuna of Waterbury, Elise Grazuna of Wolcott, and Mark Haney of Merrimack,  NH; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Mark DiMasi; a sister, Jean; and a brother Raymond.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 5 at Noon at the New Life Christian Church, 289 Chestnut   Hill Avenue, Waterbury.  Entombment of her ashes will be at the family’s convenience.  Calling hours will be held at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck on Tuesday from 6-8pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Inc., 306 Industrial Park Road, Suite 105, Middletown, CT 06457 or to the St.Vincent DePaul Shelter, 114   Benedict Street, Waterbury, CT 06702.  To send an on-line condolence, please visit www.naugatuckvalleymemorial.com
