SEYMOUR — Nancy Moroz, 92 of Seymour, beloved wife of the late Michael Moroz, died peacefully on Aug. 27, 2013 at Griffin Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Ansonia on April 28, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Cap Harrack.

Mrs. Moroz worked as a supervisor for General Electric and then became the office manager of the family business, Moroz Machine & Welding Co. until the time of her retirement. She was a lifelong member of Three Saints Orthodox Church, active in many positions including former Church Council member, church secretary, choir, bible study group, senior citizens group, and Sunday school teacher. Also, for her dedicated service and faithful stewardship, she received the highest award a layperson could receive.

She is survived by her devoted son, Joseph “Chip” Moroz and his wife Nancy of Oxford; daughter-in-law, Deborah Moroz of Florida; cherished grandchildren, Peter Moroz of Florida, Doris Yoho of Florida, Gregory and Deborah Ricard of Beacon Falls, and Rebecca Ricard of Oxford; great-granddaughter, Grace Ann Yoho of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, and godchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Moroz was predeceased by a son, Michael J. Moroz; a daughter, Nina Moroz, and brothers, Stephan Herrick and Lawrence Harrack.

The family would like to express their gratitude to nurses and staff at Shady Knoll Health Center and Griffin Hospital for their exceptional care and support in Nancy’s time of need.

A funeral service will take place, meeting directly at church, on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at 10 a.m., in Three Saints Orthodox Church, 26 Howard Ave., Ansonia. Interment will directly follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Family and friends may call at church on Saturday at 9 a.m., prior to the funeral service. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia is in care of arrangements.
