Beard was born in Waterbury April 25, 1967 the son of Thomas C. and Jean K. (Schieffer) Beard of Prospect. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Prospect Excavating and was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Prospect. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Nascar fan, enjoyed exploring the outdoors on his Harley Davidson and was always ready to help others.
Besides his wife and parents, Mr. Beard is survived by his daughters Brooke and Kasey Beard of Prospect, his sisters Michele Smallidge and her husband Michael of South Salem, NY, and Melissa Lawlor and her husband Thomas of Prospect, his brothers Mark Beard and his wife Lisa of Prospect and Matthew Beard and his wife Lynn of Harwinton, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Walter and Darlene Zembrzuski of Wolcott, his brother-in-law Kevin Zembrzuski and his wife Karen of Wolcott, his sister-in-law Debra Cratty and her husband Fredric of Wolcott, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held Jan. 28 at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect on Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m.
