NAUGATUCK — Melody “Little Mel” Dorothy Emmons, 26, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 29, 2020.
Ms. Emmons was born Oct. 6, 1993, daughter of Robert Emmons and Columbia Lumis.
In her free time, she loved to sing, dance and play blackjack.
Besides her parents she is survived by her daughter, Jaelynn Torres; her five sisters, Melissa Landry of Naugatuck, Jill and her husband, Ian Belward, of Prospect, Jessica and her husband, Ricardo Soto, of Naugatuck, Amy Lumis of Naugatuck and Michelle Armstrong of Waterbury; stepfather, Robin Armstrong; stepbrothers, Dave Armstrong and Robert and his wife, Veronica Armstrong; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private calling hours will be held at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St., Naugatuck. A graveside committal will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2020, at St. James Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to go directly to the graveside. Social distancing and masks are required.
