CHESHIRE — Maureen Kirk, 74, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at her home. She was the wife of the late Douglas Kirk, who passed away in 2005.
Mrs. Kirk was born March 7, 1945 in New Haven, the daughter of the late William and Virginia (Jester) Costello. She was raised in Cheshire, where she graduated from Cheshire High School in 1963. She worked for The Hartford Insurance Company, retiring in the early 2000s.
Mrs. Kirk is survived by her sons, Douglas Kirk and his wife, Tamara, of Bristol and David and his wife, Jennifer, of Massachusetts; her sisters, Joan Reynolds and her husband, Bruce, of Newtown and Kathy Catino and her husband, Paul, of Cheshire; her brothers, Bill Costello of Cheshire and Jack Costello and his wife, Siobhan, of Southington; her grandchildren, that brought her the most joy, Lily, Thomas, Emalyn and Julia Kirk; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mrs. Kirk will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Comital will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery.
