NAUGATUCK — Mateus Daniel Loureiro, 94, passed away on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Ana (Silva) Loureiro.
Mr. Loureiro was born on Oct. 20, 1919 in Portugal, a son of the late Joao Loureiro and Domingas (Monteiro) Loureiro. He retired from Eastern Foundry.
Besides his wife, Ana, he is survived by his four daughters, Elizabeth Araujo, Encarnacao Simoes, Amelia Costa and Gloria Dias; one son, Antonio Loureiro; his brother, Antonio DaSilva of Portugal. He will also be missed by his 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren as well as so in laws. He was predeceased by two daughters, Albertina DaSilva and Ana Loureiro.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin St., Waterbury for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.
