NAUGATUCK — Mark Allen Merriam, 56, of Naugatuck, moved on from this life on Aug. 24, 2020. Mark was born in Bridgeport Feb. 4, 1964.
He was in the Army, serving two tours during Desert Storm. Mark always enjoyed marching in the parade with pride every Memorial Day. Mark served as junior vice in the Brooklyn Valley VFW #7790. He enjoyed going to the club every Friday and Saturday. He was also a member of the local Eagles Club #640.
His infectious laugh will be missed throughout town.
Mark leaves behind his longtime companion, Donna Cossette. He leaves behind his son, Mark and his wife, Katie, and their children, Hyden and Madison, all of Wolcott. Also his son, William and his wife, Lauren, along with their children, Ross, Harrison and Carolyn, all of Cheshire.
His is survived by two brothers, William Merriam formerly of Naugatuck and Joseph and his wife, Karen, of Wolcott. He also leaves his loving dog, Byron.
Mark was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy (Farrell); father, Earl; and his younger sister, Linda.
Military services are planned for Monday, Sept. 21, 2020, at 1 p.m. at The State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown. Meet at the cemetery.
