TORRINGTON — Linda Arlene (Petrozza) (Mooney) Michaels, 57, passed away on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 at Torrington Health and Rehab surrounded by her loving family.
Linda was born on Nov. 4, 1954 in Waterbury a daughter of the late John Petrozza and Theresa (Gervais) (Petrozza) Mooney and the step-daughter of John Mooney. She was an employee of Stop & Shop in Naugatuck and formerly worked at Uniroyal Inc, Footwear Division. She enjoyed gardening, and spending time with her family. She was an avid supporter of her son and his fellow brothers in the U.S.M.C.
She is survived by her three daughters, Tammy Tardiff of Torrington, Cassie Michaels of Naugatuck, and Julie Kerns of Waterbury; two sons, Arthur Michaels III of Waterbury and Shane Michaels of Harwinton; three sisters, Cathy Parella of North Carolina, Pamela Tully of Prospect, and Jacqueline Mooney of Beacon Falls; two brothers, Jack Mooney of Naugatuck and Patrick Mooney of New Haven. She also leaves her eight grandchildren and her former husband, Arthur Michaels, Jr.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
