Laura (D’Alessandro) Teach

OAKVILLE — Laura (D’Alessandro) Teach, 59, widow of James “Bowzer” Teach, passed peacefully on Jan. 28, 2020, with her loving family by her side.

Laura was born Jan. 12, 1961, in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Frank and Emilia (Pecorale) D’Alessandro, and had lived in Waterbury most of her life. Laura enjoyed spending time with her family, and she loved to cook and prepare traditional Italian meals, especially sauce and meatballs.

Laura is survived by her daughter, Lindsey Teach and her husband, Jeff Larson; her son, Joseph Teach; her grandson, Nathan Teach; her sister, Patricia Broderick and her husband, Gary; her brother, Jack D’Alessandro; her nieces and nephews; her stepson, Matthew Foley; and her dear friend, Michael Costello.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Feb. 1, at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 182 Robbins St., Waterbury. Burial will be private, and there are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
