NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Katharina (Stieger) Hotchkiss, 88, of Naugatuck, peacefully passed away on April 2, 2013 at Beacon Brook Health Center. She was the widow of Clifford H. Hotchkiss.

Mrs. Hotchkiss was born in Germany on May 24, 1924, a daughter of the late Harold and Barbara Stieger. She was a resident of Naugatuck since 1954 and a retiree of the Naugatuck Glass Company where she was employed for over 25 years. She was a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. She enjoyed walking, music, animals, and bird watching. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family. She loved her many flowers and gardens.

She leaves her son, Cliff Hotchkiss and his wife Judy of Naugatuck; two daughters, Kathy Wood and Christine A. Hotchkiss both of Naugatuck; three grandchildren, Brandi Fitzgerald, Matthew Wood, and Shari Galvin; and six great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, April 5 at 10:30 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 210 Church St., Naugatuck, for a service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
