SOUTHINGTON — Karen R. Kirk, 78, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at her home.
Ms. Kirk was born Nov. 5, 1940 in Waterbury, the daughter of longtime Naugatuck residents, the late Lamont W. and May (Richardson) Kirk. She received an Associate in Arts degree from Green Mountain College in 1960. She worked as an administrative assistant at UConn John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington and was a longtime Southington resident.
Ms. Kirk is survived by her nephews, Douglas Kirk and his wife, Tamara, of Bristol and David Kirk ad his wife, Jennifer, of Massachusetts; as well as her great-nieces and nephew, Lily, Thomas, Emalyn and Julia Kirk. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Douglas L. Kirk.
The family extends their gratitude to Justine Swedock and Always Best Care of Bristol.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 10 a.m. in Grove Cemetery in Naugatuck. There are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire has been entrusted with her arrangements.
