OAKVILLE — Mrs. Judy (Falco) Krasnow, 66, of Oakville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 while vacationing in Aruba. She was the wife of Al Krasnow.

Judy was born in Bridgeport on June 3, 1947, daughter of the late Alex and Stacia (Fucci) Falco. She was an Oakville resident for many years and a longtime waitress at Spartan’s Restaurant. She also worked for Drug City in Watertown, Cat Tenders for 25 years and was a self-employed Avon representative. Judy had a love for Broadway, visiting there often; for many years she designed costumes for local community theater as well as many school productions. She also taught sewing for Waterbury Park and Recreation. She enjoyed movies, having an extensive movie collection.

Besides her husband of 23 years, she leaves her son Mark Strassel and his wife of Diane of Staten Island, N.Y.; daughter, Stacy Strassel of Waterbury; brother, Richard Falco and his wife Mary of Orlando, Fla.; step-son, David Krasnow of Raleigh, N.C.; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Judy’s life service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12 at noon at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck. Visitation with the family will be prior from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Everyone is encouraged to wear brightly colored clothes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
