Obit-CandleWHEELING, W.V. — Judith Ann Sandor, 70, of Wheeling, W.V., and Pine Hill, N.Y., died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 at Liza’s Place after a six month battle with Leukemia.

She was born May 17, 1943, in Bronx, N.Y., to John and Ann Doran Kennedy.

Judi grew up in New York City and enjoyed every step of her life journey through New York, Kentucky, Connecticut, upstate New York and here in Wheeling. She felt blessed to know “she always had a purpose where she was, when she was there.” Being a part of her family’s lives was her primary motivation and she felt God walked with her every step along her way.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her brother, John Kennedy Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Margaret M. Politch (John) of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; her four children, David (Catherine Mills) Trunnell of Lakeside Park, Ky., Deborah (Jeff) Wilkinson of Wheeling, W.V., Christian (Megan Kissinger) Trunnell of Venice, Calfi., and Annmarie Sandor of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and her six grandchildren, Lillian A. Trunnell, Alexandra J. Trunnell, Cross M. Wilkinson, Rebekah E. Trunnell, Luke Trunnell, and Cole P. Wilkinson.

Judi made and enjoyed friends in every place she was and valued them immensely.

Friends and family will be received at a memorial service, Sunday, October 6, at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Mary and Joseph at Wheeling Jesuit University with Father James Fleming, S. J. officiating.
