NAUGATUCK — Joshua P. Tulley, 28, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021. Josh was born (the eldest of three sons) on Nov. 23, 1992, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury.
A lifelong resident of Naugatuck, Josh was a 2010 graduate of Naugatuck High School, where he lettered in football (DB, WR, P) and track. He was one of the 2010 All-NVL defense players for Naugatuck High School.
Josh was a kind, gentle soul with the biggest heart. He brought laughter to his many friends. He had a love of all sports and the outdoors. He enjoyed cooking, gaming, spending time with family and friends, and visiting the family getaways in Clinton and Sylvia Lake, N.Y. He had a love of all the family pets including Lucky, Dusty, Lucy, Barney, Coalie, Lilah, Benny, Katie, Toby and Ratchet.
Josh is survived by his father and stepmother, Brian Tulley and Elizabeth Brown of Naugatuck; his mother, Tina (Vitarelli) Tulley of Naugatuck; his brother, Jeremy Tulley of Naugatuck; his brother, Jordan Tulley and girlfriend, Kaylin Spaulding, of Shelton; his paternal grandparents, Phillip E. and Barbara S. Tulley of Monroe; dozens of aunts, uncles and cousins. Josh is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Anthony P. Vitarelli (Poppa) and Christine A. Vitarelli of Waterbury.
Walk-through calling hours will be held Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck.
