NAUGATUCK — Mr. Joseph W. Kezelevich, Jr., 67, of Naugatuck, unexpectedly passed away at his home on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013.
Joe was born in Waterbury, son of Joseph W. Kezelevich, Sr. of Naugatuck and the late Hedwig (Jaceniak) Kezelevich. He was a lifelong resident of Naugatuck and worked for the footwear division of Uniroyal, Inc. and later he retired from Foam Plastics in Prospect. He was a devout Catholic and was a champion for Pro-Life groups. For many years he was a communicant of St. Hedwig Church and recently a communicant of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Besides his father, he leaves his niece, Kathy Stowe and her husband Roy of Beacon Falls; nephew, Ronald R. Kezelevich, Sr. and his family, Ronald R. Kezelevich, Jr., Marissa and Nicole all of Naugatuck; sister-in-law, Giovanna Kezelevich of Naugatuck; his two step-brothers, Edward and Robert Kezelevich and their families; many cousins and good friends, especially Johnny Cagno and his Pro-Life Group in Waterbury; his “extended family” of his late companion Norma and her family. He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald J. Kezelevich.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at noon at St. Hedwig Church. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church by 11:45 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. There are no calling hours.
