HOLIDAY, Fla. — Joseph T. Bioski, 71, formerly of Middlebury and Oxford, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 12, in Florida. He was husband of the late Blanche (Stanley) Bioski.
Joseph was born in Waterbury, on Jan. 19, 1940, son of the late Joseph and Michaelena Teresa (Wolski) Bioski. He had retired from DeSantis, Inc. in Oxford. He was a member of NRA, Antique Motorcycle Association of America, New Hampshire Antique Tractor Club, Connecticut Antique Machinery Association, Elks Club, Russian American Club and the Oxford Center Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Bioski was also a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
He leaves two sons, Thomas Bioski of St. Petersburg, Fla., and John Bioski of Oxford; two daughters, Teresa Bioski of Cranfills Gap, Texas, and Mary DeCarvalho of Spring Hill, Fla.; a brother, Richard Bioski of Middlebury; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Route 67, Oxford. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Govenor’s Hill Road, Oxford. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Oct. 21 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck.
