Joseph Stanley Kosiorek Jr.

BEACON FALLS — Joseph Stanley Kosiorek, Jr., 73, of Beacon Falls, formerly of Seymour, beloved husband of Jeannine Theriault Kosiorek, entered into eternal rest on Monday, Aug.29, at Griffin Hospital.

He was born in Hartford on Sept. 14, 1937, son of the late Joseph S. Kosiorek, Sr. and Mary Ann Tomolonis Kosiorek. He was co-owner of J&J Pet Service of Beacon Falls and was formerly employed as a tool cutter/grinder at Bic Corp of Milford as well as Dupont Corp. of Newtown. Joseph was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Schafer-Fischer Post #25 American Legion of Beacon Falls. He enjoyed gardening, was an avid fisherman and loved being with his family and friends.

His loving family, in addition to his beloved wife, Jeannine, includes his sons, Michael Kosiorek and his wife, Carol, of Shelton, Daniel Long of Lewiston, Maine, Joseph Long and his wife, Kelly, of Henderson, N.V.; his cherished daughters, Michelle Lupone and her husband, John Jr. of Prospect, Cindy Long of Terryville, Suzanne Levesque and her husband, Paul, of Leeds, Maine; and several grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister, Anna Kosiorek.

A prayer service in celebration of Joseph’s life will be held at the Chepulis Funeral Home, 35 Washington Ave., Seymour on Friday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. with Deacon Ray Chervenak, Chaplain of St. Vincent Medical Center, officiating. Full military honors will be accorded. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
