BEACON FALLS — Joie Mei Meder, 9, of 152 Lopus Road, Beacon Falls, passed away at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Wednesday, July 6.

She was predeceased by her sister, Andie Mei, who passed on December 13, 2000; her paternal grandparents, George and Virginia (Wrigley) Meder; and her maternal grandfather, Richard Patchkofsky.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at Beacon Falls Congregational Church, 69 Wolfe Ave., Beacon Falls. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church at 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow in Pinesbridge Cemetery, Beacon Falls. Calling hours will be held at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
