Obituary: John Paul Sypniewski Sr.

MURRELLS INLET, S.C. — John P. Sypniewski, 87, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at Conway Medical Center.

Mr. Sypniewski was born in Shelton, Conn. to the late John and Victoria Sypniewski. He was a retired electrician and a member of IBEW Local 90. He also was a member of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church. Mr. Sypniewski was a founding member and first slate officer of the Great Hill Hose Company in Seymour, Conn.

Mr. Sypniewski is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Sypniewski of Murrells Inlet; a son, John Jr. and wife Sharon Sypniewski of Charlotte, N.C.; daughters, Barbara and husband Howard Bregman of Silver Spring, Md., and Laura Sypniewski of Spring City, Pa.; grandchildren, J.P. and Walter Sypniewski and Jason and Zachary Bregman; a brother Raymond Sypniewski of Seymour, Conn. and sister, Helen Drabicki of Beacon Falls, Conn. and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Walter and Martin Sypniewski and sisters, Jane Sypniewski and Estelle Lique.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012 at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church in Murrells Inlet, S.C. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, S.C. is in charge of arrangements.
