NAUAGTUCK-John J. Gaudreau, 89, of Beacon Brook Health Center, husband of the late Jacqueline (Reny) Gaudreau, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 27, at St. Mary’s Hospital VITAS Hospice Unit in Waterbury. He was formerly of Saco, Maine.
He was born in Quebec, Canada on April 9, 1922, son of the late Napoleon and Maria (Joannet) Gaudreau. He lived for many years in Detroit where he worked for Ford Motor Company. John retired in 1987 from Standard Duplicating Company in Andover, Mass. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U. S. Navy. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and later the Boston Red Sox. He was a kind, loving wonderful father and grandfather.
He leaves a daughter, Suzanne Cirkot Glasser and her husband Maury of Naugatuck; a brother, Paul of Florida; two grandsons, Joel Cirkot of Greenwich, and Mark Cirkot of Jersey City, N.J.; a great-grandson, Jared Glasser of Naugatuck; and many relatives of Maine.
All services will be private. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
