INMAN, S.C. — Joan Marilyn Swan, 81, of Inman, S.C., formerly of Beacon Falls, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 at the Camp Care of Inman, S.C.
Joan was born in Waterbury on Oct.11, 1931 a daughter of the late Wilfred and Lillian Agnes (Johnson) Swan. She has been a resident of South Carolina for many years and was a former communicant of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Beacon Falls. Joan loved animals and enjoyed painting and writing.
Joan is survived locally by a sister, Sandra A. Swan of Beacon Falls; a sister-in-law, Sandra L. Swan of Beacon Falls, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Kevin Swan and a sister, Karen Swan.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at 9 a.m. at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 25 Maple Ave., Beacon Falls. Private burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck. There are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave. Naugatuck is in charge of arrangements.
