NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Jayne M. (Wilson) DelGrosso, 79, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013 at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford. She was the widow of John M. DelGrosso, Sr.
Mrs. DelGrosso was born in Paulsboro, N.J., on Jan. 18, 1934, daughter of the late Willard R. and Marie (Richards) Wilson. She was a longtime Naugatuck resident and retired from Waterbury Hospital after 21 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family, summers at Wildwood Crest, N.J., and was an avid Yankee fan. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church.
She leaves two sons, John M. DelGrosso, Jr. of Seattle, Wash., and Michael J. DelGrosso of Washington; a daughter, Leanne DelGrosso and her longtime partner, Allison Bresloff, of Cheshire; her sister, Ann Miskofsky of N.J.; four grandchildren, Danielle Accetura, Eric Koonitsky, Mary Brown and Breanna DelGrosso; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, MaryBeth DelGrosso; son, Kevin DelGrosso; grandson, John DelGrosso III; two brothers, Col. George M. Wilson, (USMC, Ret.) and Robert Wilson; two sisters, Wilma G. Walter and Lillian Lehem.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck to St. Mary Church, 338 North Main St., Naugatuck for a mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
