BEACON FALLS — Mrs. Janice A. Kelly, 55, of Cook Lane, Beacon Falls, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at Griffin Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Joel Kelly.

Mrs. Kelly was born in Bronx, N.Y. on Dec. 1, 1956, a daughter of the late Charles and Doris (Fleming) Manheimer. She was a graduate of Pelham High School and resided in Beacon Falls for the past 26 years. She was a teacher’s aide at Woodland Regional High School for ten years and made a lasting impact on her students. She was a loving mother and a wonderful teacher. She was a communicant of St. Michael Church.

Besides her husband of 34 years, she leaves her two sons, William J. Kelly and Sean D. Kelly both of Beacon Falls; her three sisters, Carol Sprague of West Valley, Utah, Eileen Manheimer of Rome, N.Y., Debra Camarda of Clayton, N.C.; several nieces and nephews

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 11 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 25 Maple Ave., Beacon Falls. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church at 9:45 a.m. Calling hours will be held at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck on Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janice’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or to Woodland Regional High School, 135 Back Rimmon Road, Beacon Falls, CT 06403-1025.
