NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Jane I. (Sparks) Franolich, 88, of 134 Crestwood Drive, passed away on Wednesday March 2, peacefully at her home. She was widow of Peter M. Franolich.
Mrs. Franolich was born in Mount Vernon, N.Y. on Dec. 22, 1922, daughter of the late Joseph A. and Lucille (Brand) Sparks. She was a longtime Naugatuck resident and worked at Ward Leonard Co. for many years. She enjoyed her family and loved animals.
She leaves two sons, Richard P. Franolich of Naugatuck, Walter Franolich of Colorado; a daughter, Brenda Ripperda of Iowa; a brother, Joseph Sparks of New York; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Jane was predeceased by two sons, Nicholas Franolich and Robert Sparks.
Her funeral services will be held on Monday March 7, at 11 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Spring Lake Road, Waterbury. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
