NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Jane (Cieslak) Zembruski, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Beacon Brook Health Center after a long illness. She was the widow of Felix
Zembruski, Jr.

Jane was born in Chicopee, Mass. in 1917, daughter of the late Herman and Mary (Baron) Cieslak. She celebrated her 95th birthday on June 13, 2012. She was an accomplished seamstress since the age of 14. She was the co-owner of Zembruski Tailor and Dry Cleaning business in Union City prior to the flood of 1955. Jane worked at Timex until her retirement. She loved to cook, sew, crochet and garden both flowers and vegetables.

Mrs. Zembruski was very proud of her Polish heritage. She spoke, read and wrote
polish fluently. She loved to celebrate all holidays in the Polish tradition. She loved Polish music and was familiar with all the polkas. She was a member of St. Hedwig Church in Union City. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of Beacon Brook Health Center for their care and compassion.

Jane is survived by her son, William Zembruski of Naugatuck, who was her
caregiver until her admission to Beacon Brook; her daughter, Cynthia Beck and her
husband Ronald on Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, 14 great -grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Felix III; her brother, Fredrick Cieslak; her sister, Emily Cieslak Wegal, both from Norwich.

“Babci,” “Gram,” and “Great Gram” will be deeply missed by her family.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, to St. Hedwig Church, 32 Golden Hill St., Naugatuck for a mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9 to 10 a.m.
