NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Helen (Jablonowski) Bolek, 95, formerly of Malgari Court, died Tuesday, May 31, at the Brandywine Assisted Living Facility in Litchfield. She was the widow of John Bolek.

 

Mrs. Bolek was born in Wilkes Barre, Pa. on Dec. 28, 1915 a daughter of the late John and Jennie (Gancarek) Jablonowski. She was retired after 34 years of service from the Uniroyal Inc. Footwear Division in Naugatuck and was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck.

Mrs. Bolek is survived by two sons, Raymond J. Bolek and his wife Dorothy of South Kent and Robert J. Bolek and his wife Delia of Naugatuck; a sister, Sophie Butler of Naugatuck; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Jablonowski and Stephen Jablonowski and two sisters, Jennine Petrow and Agnes Houle.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 2, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church, 32 Golden Hill St., Naugatuck. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck.

Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck on Wednesday, June 1, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
