NAUGATUCK — Harriett (Schryver) DiLuzio, 87, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Beacon Brook Healthcare Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Charles DiLuzio for 70 years.

Harriett was born on Feb. 25, 1926 in Seymour, a daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Hamm) Schryver. She played in card club and loved crocheting but she mostly enjoyed her grandchildren. She was an avid collector of tea pots.

Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Laurie Muller and her husband Robert of Naugatuck, and Sandra Abel of Derby; one brother, Donald Schryver of Ansonia; five grandchildren, Thomas Abel and his wife Maria, Marissa Muller, Jamie Muller, Jenna Muller and Christopher Rowe. She will also be missed by her three great-grandchildren, Brianna Abel, Bianca Abel and Thomas Abel as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her son, Frederick DiLuzio; two sisters, Dorothy Mossman and Lillian Conklin; two brothers, Charles Schryver and William Schryver; one granddaughter, Tracy Abel and her son-in-law, Thomas Abel.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive, Ansonia. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Mt. St. Peters Cemetery in Derby. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect on Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
