Harriet (Anderson) McIntyre

NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Harriet (Anderson) McIntyre, 89, of Naugatuck, passed away early Monday morning, Oct. 24, at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was the widow of Thomas McIntyre.

Mrs. McIntyre was born in Waterbury, Dec. 16, 1921 a daughter of the late Robert and Aida (Sandblom) Anderson and had lived in Naugatuck in her youth and had lived in Waterbury, returning to Naugatuck about 30 years ago. She was a retired employee of the former American Bank of Connecticut retiring in 1981 with over 40 years of service. She was a communicant of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and a member of the Eucharistic Adoration Society of the parish.

She leaves several cousins, including Henrietta Salvatore and her husband Anthony of Woodbury and Judy Sandblom and Robert Sandblom both of Naugatuck. She also leaves her caregivers, Jean, Pam, Janet, Terry, Patty, Linda, Darlene, and Linda, who provided wonderful care and support.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 9:15 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck and proceed to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St., Waterbury for a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stray Katz Rescue Organization of Naugatuck through the funeral home.
