Harold L. ‘Bud’ Johnson

PROSPECT — Harold L. “Bud” Johnson, 77, passed away at home unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 5.

Mr. Johnson was born on March 13, 1934 in Waterbury a son of the late Harold L. Johnson, Sr. and Lola (Wise) Johnson. He was retired from Uniroyal where he worked as a machine technologist for over 30 years he also worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for 10 years and at Now Inc. He was a member of the Prospect Senior Center. He was a loving, caring person who loved his children and grandchildren and especially enjoyed Marie’s family.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Marie Delage; four sons, Kenneth Johnson of Torrington, Gary Johnson and his wife Mary, and Kevin Johnson all of Plainville, Randy Johnson and his wife Tina of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; his sister, Betty DePalma of Southington; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Patricia Bridschge and Gayle Quint, and his brother Ronald Johnson.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 10 a.m. at Grove Cemetery, 1 Cross St., Naugatuck. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect is in charge of the arrangements.
