BEACON FALLS — Gottfried Schuebler, Jr., 77, of Beacon Falls, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, at the VITAS Innovative Hospice Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Anna-Maria (Laufer) Schuebler for 53 years.
Gottfried was born in Salzburg, Austria, on March 12, 1942, son of the late Gottfried and Margaretha (Roth) Schuebler. He worked as a systems engineer for NCR in Dayton, Ohio, before his retirement. He was the district deputy of the Free Masons, 9th Manhatten District in New York.
Besides his wife, Anna-Maria, Gottfried leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Peter Schuebler of Tewksbury, Mass., Tania Barczak and her husband, Joseph, of Oxford; grandchildren, Jake and Olivia Barczak of Oxford; sister, Christine Rossi and her husband, Syed Jamil, of Queens, N.Y., and several nieces, nephews and extended family in Austria.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. A prayer and Mason service will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday.
