PROSPECT — Gertrude L. (Stepney) Fallon, 91, beloved wife of the late George W. Fallon passed away on July 18, at Paradigm Healthcare Center of Prospect.

Mrs. Fallon was born on Jan. 4, 1920 in Ansonia, a daughter of the late William and Lucy (Carle) Stepney. Before spending the last 60 years of her life in Prospect she also lived in Waterbury. She was retired from Chase Brass and Copper where she worked as a secretary for many years. She enjoyed dancing, and bird watching, especially cardinals. She was also a sports fan, she liked ice skating, the Yankees, and UConn basketball.

She is survived by her son, Douglas Fallon of Prospect; one brother, Charles Stepney of Plainville, and her four grandchildren, Justin, Kevin, Adam, and Cassandra.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Mildred Minion, Doris Webster, and Claire Hunt-Hollis; by three brothers, Robert Stepney, Harold Stepneyl and William Stepney, Jr. and also by her step mother Lucy.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 23, at 10 a.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
